The driver of a white VW Jetta has been killed in an accident in Benoni on Great North Road near the intersection with 5th Street.
The cause of the accident is not clear, but it appears that the Porsche crashed straight over the Jetta, literally crushing it beneath it.
The damage to the Jetta was extensive, and the driver did not survive the injuries that he had sustained. He was found still seated in the drivers seat, but there were no signs of life and he was declared deceased.
The driver of the Porsche appeared to have sustained moderate injuries only, and he was in a stable condition. He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for further assessment and care.
