Pedestrian injured in Hout Bay collision

One man has sustained some injuries this morning after he was struck by a vehicle pulling into a driveway at an apartment building in Hout Bay.

The man, believed to be aged in his 50’s was walking out of the apartment building when another resident pulled into the driveway colliding with the neighbor.

ER24 paramedics who later arrived at the scene found that the injured pedestrian was able to remove himself from under the vehicle. The man had sustained various scrapes to his face as well as suspected back and neck injuries and a broken right shoulder.

Paramedics treated and stabilised  the gentleman at the scene before transporting him to Mediclinic Cape Town for further treatment. The incident will be investigated by the appropriate authority.
