Taxi crashes into tree near Inchanga

[Durban 06 May 2012 08:00]

The driver of the taxi is believed to have suddenly lost control of the vehicle due to unknown reason on the R103 neat the Inchanga Railway Station. The taxi then left the road and crashed into a tree down a short embankment.

Fortunately, there had only been the driver and two passengers in the taxi at the time and they had all suffered relatively minor injuries. They were quickly but thoroughly checked for any injuries by paramedics, and they were then taken to the appropriate hospitals by ambulance.

The cause of the accident is not known at this time but law enforcement officials who attended the scene will conduct their necessary investigations.
