Driver Loses Control And Crashes Into Residential Wall

[MALVERN, KZN – 16 JUNE 2012 AT 22H10]

A driver and passenger of a light motor vehicle sustained moderate injuries after the driver lost control of the vehicle on Old main Road near to the Malvern Police Station and collided into a residential wall before coming to a stop.

ER24 and EMRS arrived on the scene and found the vehicle had gone through a wall and the occupants were outside of the vehicle. The driver was assessed and was complaining of pains to his leg and lower leg. The paramedics suspected neck and back injuries and placed him on a specialised board as a precaution to help protect his back from further injury.

The passenger was treated for minor cuts and abrasions to his head and hands. Both patients were stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
