A father has been killed and his son slightly injured after a motorbike accident on the Plaaskombuis road in Rissiville, Meyerton.
The two were travelling on the bike when for some reason the driver lost control and the bike collided into a tree. At this stage we do not know who was driving the motorbike, but the bike was extensively damaged and the father died on the scene due to multiple injuries. There was sadly nothing more that paramedics could do for the man and he was declared dead a short while later.
The son was treated on scene for minor injuries and taken through to hospital for further care.
The cause of the accident will be investigated by the necessary officials.
