[Roodepoort, GP 06 June 2012 09:00]

A taxi, bakkie and car collided into one another at the corners of Main Reef Road and Spencer street in Robertville, Roodepoort leaving eight people with minor to moderate injuries.

The cause of the accident is not clear, and the necessary authorities will conduct investigations into who was at fault and as to how the accident happened. The three vehicles were found in the road, with the Toyota RunX on its roof and the other two on their wheels with substantial damage.

Of the eight people travelling in the taxi, five needed to be taken to hospital, while another three patients from the other two vehicles would need treatment. The eight people were taken to various hospitals in the surrounding area for further assessment and treatment of their minor to moderate injuries.

Paramedics were grateful that the patients had suffered only minor to moderate injuries despite the damage to all three vehicles.
