Two injured after vehicles rolls onto roof, N1 Soweto

Two people sustained injuries after their vehicle veered out of control and overturned on the N1 highway near Soweto.

The events leading up to the collision is unclear at this stage, but a man and a woman believed to be aged in their 20’s, we’re the only occupants in the vehicle at the time of the collision. The vehicle had left the road before overturning and coming to a standstill on its roof.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they found both of the occupants were already out of the vehicle. The female sustained minor injuries only in the form of various scrapes and bruises. The man sustained more serious injuries in the form of suspected back and neck injuries as well as a broken left leg.

Both occupants received on-scene treatment before being transported to nearby hospitals for further medical care. Local law enforcement officials attended the scene and will be investigating the incident further.
