Two Seriously Injured in Roodepoort Collision

Two people sustained multiple injuries when the bakkie they were travelling in overturned and crashed down an embankment on Main Reef Road near Westlake Saturday evening.

Paramedics that arrived on the scene found the Bantam bakkie with severe damage. On further inspection they found two men, believed to be in their late 20’s, which were ejected from the vehicle. Paramedics had to initiate Advanced Life Support treatment to sustain the basic life functions of one of the men; the other was stabilized on the scene. Both of the men were rushed of per ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

The exact cause of this incident is not yet known and will be investigated.
