A woman has sustained moderated injuries after losing control of her VW Caddy on the N1 north between Beyers Naudè and 14th Avenue this evening.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the vehicle in the right hand lane of the freeway with extensive damage to the front. The driver was found standing outside of the vehicle. The Patient was assessed and was treated for suspected neck and back injuries. She was transported to hospital for further medical care.
It is believed that the driver lost control of her vehicle because of a broke down vehicle in the middle lane. The necessary authorities will investigate the accident further.
