August 2, 2012 – Writer, film maker and entrepreneur Ronnie Apteker recently added his name to the 56,948 other South Africans who have taken the IMPERIAL I-Pledge and committed to be a safer road user.
The IMPERIAL I-Pledge is a personal commitment to make a difference by curbing our bad habits on the road and adopting a safer, friendlier attitude to fellow road users.
Apteker, who co-founded Internet Solutions (IS), the country’s first Internet service provider in 1993, said: “The roads are our lifeline. We need them to live, work and play. We should treat our roads with way more respect, and we should all be more aware of the other lives that are going about their business on our busy streets. Be respectful on our roads. It saves life.”
