A man sustained serious injury after falling from a silo on a farm in the snow covered Nottingham Road this morning. Reports indicate that the man was working about eight meters off the ground when he slipped and fell sustaining serious injuries.
A joint operation from Netcare 911 and the Nsele ambulance services commenced at around11h00 this morning. Medics had to respond with great care as the area was covered with snow making the road conditions very slippery.
The patient was stabilized on scene and after he was deftly immobilized, they transported him to the Netcare St Annes hospital for the specialized care that he required.
