A driver and passenger have sustained injuries after the BMW they were in colliding with the armco barrier on the M4 Southern Freeway in the direction of Durban and rolled numerous times.
ER24 and EMRS arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle lying on its side with the passenger hanging out the vehicle and the driver still inside. The driver was able to climb out and only had sustained minor injuries. The passenger was in a serious condition and needed Advanced Life Support intervention due to the injuries they had sustained in the accident.
The two patients were stabalised and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care. It is believed that the driver lost control due to wet weather conditions on the roads.
