Four people injured in Florida collision

Four people sustained injuries yesterday evening following a two vehicle collision on Goldman road in Florida, Johannesburg.

The cause of the collision is unclear, but ER24 paramedics who arrived at the scene could see that the collision was severe as both vehicle involved had sustained substantial damage. Paramedics found a total of four individuals in need of medical attention.

One of the occupants from the one vehicle had been ejected from the vehicle and was found a few meters away from the wreck. Paramedics found the patient to have sustained a suspected head, back and neck injury as well as various other broken bones. Two other individuals sustained injuries in the form of facial injuries, head injuries and suspected back and neck injuries. One other individual was fortunate to have sustained minor scrapes and bruises only.

All of the patients received treatment at the scene before being transported to nearby medical facilities in various ambulances. Local law enforcement officials attended the collision and will be investigating the cause of the collision further.
