[Durban, KZN – 04 September 2012 at 16H30]
A pedestrian believed to be in his mid thirties has been killed after being knocked down by a light motor vehicle at the intersection of South Coast and Grimsby Road this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying in the road and unresponsive. The light motor vehicle was a few meters away with extensive damage to the windscreen and roof.
Paramedics assessed the patient and found he had suffered very traumatic and fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene. The driver And passenger of the car were treated for shock.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
