[BLOEMFONTEIN, FS – 23 SEPTEMBER 2012 AT 16H00]
A mother and son have been involved in a motor bike accident on Haldon Road in Bloemfontein, leaving one dead and another in a serious condition this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the two lying in the road near to the curve with the motorbike just a few meters away. Paramedics assessed the two and found the male who is believed to be the son of the lady had already succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on the scene. The lady was treated for suspected neck and back injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
It is unclear what the circumstances were to the accident as there didn’t seem to be any other vehicles involved in the collision. The local authorities will have to investigate the accident further.
