[AMANZINTOTI, KZN – 01 OCTOBER 2012 AT 08H30]
A driver believed to be in his mid thirties has sustained moderate injuries after losing control of his motor vehicle while travelling on the N2 south bound near Kingsway and went through the centre medium and went over onto the oncoming traffic on the north bound and collided into an embankment this morning.
ER24 paramedics from Durban South arrived on the scene and found the vehicle facing oncoming traffic in the emergency lane. The driver was found lying outside of the vehicle and in a lot of pain. Paramedics assessed him and found he might have a suspected neck and back injuries due to the impact crashing into the embankment. The patient was stabilised and transported to a nearby Provincial Hospital for further medical care.
The circumstances around the accident will be investigated by the local law enforcement agencies.
