Father and son injured in Outeniqua pass collision

[OUTENIQUE PASS, WC, 26 October 2012, 14:30]

A father and his son were fortunate to have sustained minor injuries only following a single vehicle collision on the Outeniqua pass in the direction of Oudtshoorn this afternoon.

The events leading up to the incident is unclear at this stage, but the vehicle had allegedly veered out of control on a wet road before overturning. When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they found the vehicle in the road on its roof.

Fortunately the father and his 12 year old son sustained only minor injuries in the form of suspected back and neck injuries as well as various scrapes and bruises. Both patients received treatment at the scene before being transported to Mediclinic George for further treatment.
