Two men believed to be aged in their 20’s have died following a collision in Benoni this evening.
The events leading to the collision is unclear, but the two men were driving on a road between small holdings when the vehicle allegedly veered out of control on a wet road. The vehicle, a Amarok bakkie, then veered from the road before colliding head-on with a roadside tree.
ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene to find the bakkie to have sustained significant damage. Both men were entrapped in the vehicle and were found to have sustained various fatal injuries. They were unfortunately later declared dead at the scene.
The cause of the collision will be investigated by the appropriate authority.
