One person has sustained serious injuries after truck driver lost control and collided into three light motor vehicles on the N2 north bound near to the Adams Road on ramp in Amanzintoti this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found all the vehicles either on the freeway or off to the side of the road. Traffic was severely affected in the area. Paramedics went from vehicle to vehicle making sure that all occupants were okay.

A driver of the one light motor vehicle was complaining of pains to her arm and pains to her neck was stabilised further. She was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

It is believed that there was a light motor vehicle that had already been involved in a collision after hitting a cow that was crossing the freeway. While everybody was on scene, the truck driver came down the freeway and it’s alleged that he started to have mechanical failure of his vehicle and lost control and collided with the motor vehicles.

All necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
