Elderly Woman Found Locked In Car At Shopping Centre

An elderly woman believed to be in her eighties has been treated for heat stroke after been found inside a motor vehicle in a parking lot of a shopping centre in Boksburg this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics were called to the scene after the woman was able to get passing members of public there attention. Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the woman still in the car but it was locked and the windows were all closed. With the help of the police, an access to the car was made and paramedics were able to assess the patient properly.

The patient was treated for heat exhaustion and was given some fluid before being transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

It is believed that the elderly lady had been in the car for more than two hours before she was able to get some one’s attention. The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the incident further.
