Mom and two sons injured in Benoni accident

[Benoni South, GP 28 November 2012 08:00]

A 36 year old woman and her two sons aged 2 and 6 were injured this morning after an accident that took place at the corners of Bolton and Liverpool in Benoni South.

According to witnesses, the taxi crashed into the passenger side of the Toyota RunX as the woman was crossing over at the stop street. The car was then pushed from the road and was found stationary on the pavement alongside the road.

When paramedics arrived on the scene, the woman and her two children were outside of the vehicle and we are not sure whether they were assisted out by bystanders or whether they had climbed from the wreckage themselves. The three had been seriously injured, but fortunately they were in a stable condition. They received treatment on scene before the three of them were transported to the Life Glynnwood hospital.

All of the occupants of the taxi were found outside the vehicle, and after assessment were found to have not been injured in the collision.
