Mother And Baby In Critical Condition

[NORTHCLIFF, GP – 20 NOVEMBER 2012 AT 08H00]

A mother and the six month old baby are in a critical condition and the father has sustained serious injuries after losing control of the light motor vehicle on Senior Drive in Northcliff and rolled into a house this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the vehicle on its roof in between the foundation wall and residence wall. All three occupants were found outside the vehicle believed to have been ejected from the vehicle when the accident occurred.

The baby believed to be six months and the mother had suspected head injuries and needed Advanced Life Support intervention to try and stabilise them further. The driver had suspected neck and back injuries and cuts and abrasions. All three patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

It is believed that the driver lost control due to some sort of mechanical problem with the car.

The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
