Passenger Injured After Car Crashes Into Tree

[POTCHEFSTROOM, GP – 22 NOVEMBER 2012 AT 22H10]

A light motor vehicle collided with a tree, causing the car to overturn and land on its roof on MC Roode Drive in Potchefstroom which has left one person with injuries in the late parts of yesterday evening.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the car on its roof with both passenger and drive outside the vehicle. The patients were assessed and found that only the passenger was hurt. The patient was treated for suspected neck and back injuries and suspected internal injuries. Once stabilised, the patient was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

It is believed that the driver lost control of his car after trying to avoid an object that had run across the road.
