Taxi crash at Fields Hill Leaves 13 People Injured On M13 Accident

A taxi carrying thirteen commuters overturned on the M13 west bound going up Fields Hill in the left hand lane leaving five people in a serious condition and eight others with minor to moderate injuries this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the taxi lying on its side with the commuters seated outside of the vehicle. The left hand lane of the M13 was closed to traffic while emergency personnel treated the patients. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five people had a suspected neck and back injuries and possible broken bones. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patients. The remaining eight patients were treated for minor cuts and abrasions. All patients were treated on scene and stabilised and transported to Hillcrest Private and other surrounding hospitals for further medical care.

It is unclear how the driver lost control of his taxi going up the M13 but the local authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
