Ten Injured In Multiple Vehicle Accident in Clairewood, KZN

[Clairewood, KZN – 12 November 2012 at 13H15]

Ten people have sustained various injuries after a collision involving a bus, a truck, a taxi and three light motor vehicles on the M4 Southern Freeway in the direction of Quality Street this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the vehicles all in the middle and right hand lane of the freeway, which had now caused major traffic congestion. The three light motor vehicles had extensive damage to the while the bus had damage to the right hand side of it.

Paramedics assessed all the people and found only ten people had sustained injuries from minor cuts and abrasions to suspected neck and back injuries. They were stabilised on scene and transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.

The collision will be investigated by the local law enforcement authorities.
