Three vehicles collide in Benoni

[Benoni, GP 16 November 2012 08:00]

Just before 8am this morning, paramedics responded to an accident that had taken place on High road in Benoni. A VW Fox, and two VW Polos had crashed into on another near the intersection with Orion road.

It appears that the initial collision had occurred between the Fox and a new Polo, where they had collided head on for some unknown reason. The second Polo is then believed to have collided into the Fox, but fortunately the impact had not been too severe and it seemed that the secondary collision had occurred where the driver of the second Polo had been unable to avoid the collision in time.

The woman in her 20’s who had been driving the Fox had suffered the most severe injuries of the patients on scene, and she was treated for a possible break to her pelvis, a deep cut to her arm and chest injuries. She was safely removed from the wreckage and was then taken by ambulance to the Life Glynnwood hospital for further care.

The woman in her 50’s who was in the new VW Polo was treated for minor injuries, and she was taken to Aarwyp hospital.

Luckily, the occupants of the second Polo sustained no physical injuries and they left the scene privately.
