Two people were injured in a roll-over accident along the Watson Highway in Tongaat this afternoon. Reports indicate that the driver lost control while rounding a bend, veered off the road and slammed into a tree.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the fire department arrived at the scene and found the patients still trapped in the crumpled remains of the vehicle. While fireman used the Jaws of Life medics clambered into the vehicle to stabilize the injured.
After the patients were extricated and immobilized, they transported them to a nearby hospital for the care that they required.
