A taxi accident on the Golden Highway and N1 has left multiple commuters injured after the taxi crashed into the back of an articulated truck this morning.
ER24 paramedics along with other emergency personnel arrived on the scene and found the commuters all around the taxi with multiple injuries. They were assessed and found that one person was in a critical condition. The patient needed Advanced Life Support intervention to be stabilised further. Four other patients had sustained serious injuries and were treated for suspected neck and back injuries. The remaining ten patients were treated for minor cuts and abrasions. All patients were stabilised on scene and transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further. Traffic in the area was affected due to the accident.
