[BENONI, GP – 01 DECEMBER 2012 AT 19H00]
A motorcyclist believed to be in his early twenties has lost his life after colliding with a motor vehicle on Main Road between Windermere and Trekive Road in Benoni this evening.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the motor bike in front of the motor vehicle with extensive damage to both vehicles. The motorcyclist was assessed and found he had already succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on scene. The occupants of the motor vehicle were assessed and found that the passenger, a female need further medical attention as she did have a heart condition and was taken to a nearby hospital for a further medical assessment.
It is believed that the motorcyclist lost control while taking the corner but the necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
