Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Umhlanga Accident

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to a motorcycle accident on Chartwell Drive, Umhlanga at 6:30am this morning.

On arrival, paramedics found a single male dazed and confused near his motorbike. He was immediately fully immobilised for possible head and spine injuries due to the impact he sustained. The patient was sedated to manage the extreme pain the man was in before being transported to Umhlanga Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

From on scene reports it is suggested the motorbike veered into oncoming traffic before losing control and crashing into a driveway. It is unknown at this stage what caused the accident but SAPS were on hand to investigate the incident.
