Bakkie Vs Tree Leaves 1 Critically Injured

Crisis Medical paramedics responded to a serious accident on the corners of Northway and Cavendish Road, Durban North at 23:00 last night.

On arriving first on scene, paramedics were in a state of disbelief with what they saw. A Mitsubishi Colt had lost control on Northway Road and ended up in a precarious position against a tree outside a residential property. Emergency care was immediately initiated and Advance Life Support paramedics were called to assist. The critically injured man was sedated and placed on a manual ventilator to ensure airway management.

eThekwini Fire and Rescue services were required to assist in releasing the entrapped man from the mangled wreckage as well as getting the vehicle into a safe position to extra the injured man. Crisis Medical wants to congratulation eThekwini Fire on an incredible job as this rescue required some innovative thinking.

Once freed from the wreckage, the injured man was transported in a critical condition to a nearby hospital by Crisis Medical ambulance.
