A Three year-old girl has died while six others were injured in a head-on smash on the M25 ( Kwa Mashu) highway this evening. Reports indicate that an errant vehicle came across the centre median and collided head-on with the other vehicle.
Exact detail to the cause and preceding events of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit arrived at the scene and found some of the patient still trapped in the wreckage of their car. While emergency workers used the Jaws of Life medics clambered into the vehicle to stabilize the injured.
The three –year-old-girl , her farter and mother was found in a critical condition, medics immediately started to resuscitate the child but tragically she died on scene. Four other patients were triaged and found to have sustained serious injuries, after paramedics stabelised the patients on scene, they transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
