Crisis Medical paramedics responded to reports of a motorbike accident in Westridge Road, Umhlanga at 17:00 this afternoon.
On arrival, paramedics found an injured male lying next to his motorcycle. He was assessed and immobilised as a precautionary measure for head and spinal injuries before being transported to a local hospital for further care.
From on scene reports, it is believed from eye witnesses that a car crashed into the motorcyclist causing the collision and then fled the scene. Currently SAPS members are trying to trace the driver of the vehicle.
