Motorcyclist Injured On N1 Near N7 – WC

[CAPE TOWN, WC – 21 JANUARY 2013]

A motorcyclist believed to be in his early thirties has sustained moderate injuries after losing control of his bike after been side swiped by a light motor vehicle on the N1 direction Cape Town near to the N7 bridge this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying on the island between the on ramp to the N2 and the N1 with his bike just a few meters away from him. Paramedics assessed the patient and found he had suspected neck and back injuries with a possible dislocated shoulder. The patient was stabilised on scene and transported to Somerset Hospital for further medical care.

The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
