A biker miraculously escaped with minor injuries after colliding with a bakkie at the intersection of West and Long market streets Pietermaritzburg this morning. Indications are that the bakkie was making a “U” turn when the bike collided into him.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding event will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedic’s stabilised the injured rider on scene, before transporting him to the Netcare St Anne’s hospital for the care that he required.
