Two bikers have died in a head-on smash on the R102 between Stanger and Ballito this afternoon. Reports indicate that the bikers were traveling north bound and lost control of super bikes while passing a vehicle, colliding with an oncoming vehicle traveling on the south bound lane.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found accident debris scattered over a large area of the roadway, with the suspension of the bike lodged in the front wheel of the vehicle. After triaging they found that the two bikers tragically died on impact, the driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries, while his two passengers escaped with minor injuries.
The patients were stabelised on scene and then transported to various hospitals for the care that they required.
