Young man knocked down on Voortrekker street

A young man has sustained extensive injury after being knocked down by a vehicle at the corners of Voortrekker and 6th street in Kensington, WC.

The 24 year old man appears to have been attempting to cross the road when he was collided into by the light motor vehicle and paramedics arrived to find that he had sustained multiple and severe injuries. ER24 and the Life LSU paramedic treated him for internal injuries including suspected chest and abdominal injuries and also possible broken hips. He was stabilised at the scene and then transported to the Life Vincent Palotti hospital under Advanced Life Support Care.

It is believed that no one in the light motor vehicle had been injured in the incident.
