Crisis Medical paramedics responded to a head on collision on Old North Coast Road at 14:00 today.
First on scene, paramedics assessed the driver of a bakkie who had collided head on with a truck. The injured man was fully immobilised and stabilised for suspected, head, spinal and chest injuries before being transported by Crisis Medical ambulance to Ethekwini Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
From on scene reports, it is suggested the a bakkie and a truck were negotiating a tight bend when they collided head on with each causing both vehicles to veer off the road into a nearby construction site.
Local law enforcement authorities were on scene to investigate the incident.
