A man is fighting for his life in a Durban hospital after he was hit by a bakkie in the N2 in Amanzimtoti at around 19h30. Reports indicate that the man was trying to cross the highway at e very dark section of the highway when he was struck by the Bakkie.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the roadway with critical injuries. After he was placed on a ventilator and deftly immobilized on a trauma board, medics transported the man to the Prince Mshiyeni hospital for the care that he required.
