Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident scene on Rondebult Road, Libradene, Boksburg this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a delivery vehicle had overturned, resulting in five people sustaining injuries.
One man was critically injured and after paramedics skilfully immobilised him, he was transported to a nearby hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
Three people sustained serious injuries and one person sustained moderate injuries. All four patients were treated and stabilised on scene before being transported to various hospitals for further medical care.
Exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
