Crisis Medical paramedics responded to reports of an accident on Broadway, Durban North at 17:50 this evening.

On arrival, a white VW Golf was found on its roof next to a residential wall. Paramedics immediately set to work stabilising two men who were found with moderate injuries before being transported to Ethekwini Hospital for further medical care. It was ascertained from the two men on scene that they were wearing seat belts and this probably saved their lives due to the impact and force of accident.

From on scene reports, it is suggested that the vehicle was headed in an easterly direction down Broadway towards the M4 on ramp before losing control and rolling repeatedly until the vehicle came to rest next to a wall. Somehow the out of control vehicle managed to avoid a concrete lamp post and tree by centimetres.

Durban North SAPS members were on hand to investigate the incident.
