A cyclist was critically injured after he was knocked over by a minibus taxi at the intersection of Christiaan de Wet Drive and Beyers Naude Drive in Randparkrif, Honeydew after 10h00 this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived and scene and found the critically injured man lying on the ground.
After the man was treated and stabilised on scene, he was rushed to the Netcare Olivedale Hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
Exact details of the accident are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
