One man died and fourteen others were injured after a taxi and a 4X4 collided at the intersection of Stanger and Ordinance Roads Durban. Reports indicate that the bakkie overturned after impact with both occupants still trapped in the wreckage.
Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit arrived at the scene and found the bakkie on its roof on the side walk. Tragically it was found that the passenger had died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained, the driver sustained serious injuries. The twelve passengers from the taxi escaped with minor injuries.
After the injured were stabelised on scene , medics transported them to various hospitals in Durban for the care that they required.
