Netcare 911 paramedics, its rescue unit and other services responded to an accident scene on William Nicol Drive, Johannesburg last night.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that two minibus taxis had collided resulting in eight people sustaining moderate to serious injuries.
After the injured people were treated on scene, they were transported to a nearby provincial hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unclear at this stage.
