Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident scene on the Soweto Highway close to the FNB Stadium this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus had overturned and burst into flames resulting in fourteen people sustaining injuries ranging from moderate to critical.
One female occupant was critically injured and sustained various burn wounds to her body. The other thirteen patients sustained moderate to serious injuries.
Exact details of the accident are unclear but reports indicate that the minibus overturned to a tyre blow out.
All the injured people were treated and stabilised on scene before being transported to various hospitals for further medical care.
