Nine people were injured, two critically so, after a taxi and a car collided at the intersection of Old Main and Umbumbulu Road this morning. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative; however the taxi overturned after impact and collided with a Pole.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the fire department arrived at the scene and found the crumpled remains of the vehicles obstructing the roadway with the injured scattered over a large section of the road. After the injured were stabelised on scene they were transported to various hospitals for the care that they required.
