Two people are in a critical condition and a three year old toddler has died after a construction vehicle traveling along Snathing Main Road in Edendale, lost control and rolled down an embankment into a house this morning.
ER24 paramedics from Pietermaritzburg along with the SAPS Search and Rescue arrived on the scene and were informed by the community that two people had been rushed to hospital with critical injuries by members of public. They then proceeded to show the emergency services where a three year toddler was lying underneath the rubble. Paramedic assessed the toddler and was unfortunately declared deceased due to the injuries it had sustained from the incident.
The circumstances around the accident will be investigated by the local authorities who were on scene.
