One man has been killed and five others injured after a truck crashed off the N3 and through a construction site in the vicinity of the Liberty Mall.
The driver of a truck that was carrying a load of paper was ejected after the vehicle crashed into a stationary truck, a stationary bakkie and into a construction machine. He was found lying near to the burnt out bakkie and he had suffered fatal injuries.
Two of his colleagues were treated for moderate injuries along with three construction workers for moderate injuries and they were taken by ambulance to hospitals in the area.
The vehicles involved were all completely burnt out and burning paper was strewn across the scene. It is not yet clear as to the reason that the first struck left the N3 and crashed through the construction site.
