Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the R59 near Brackenhurst, Alberton this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus had overturned resulting in twelve people sustaining injuries ranging from moderate to critical.
After all the injured were treated on scene, they were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
