Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the R31 in Barkly West in the Northern Cape this morning after 09h00.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus had overturned resulting in sixteen people sustaining multiple injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
After all the injured were treated and stabilised on scene, they were transported to nearby medical facilities for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
